No matter if you are at home, at a party or on holiday. We celebrate New Year's Eve all over the world and everywhere you can find the most different traditions and customs. Today we will introduce you to typical Tyrolean rituals on New Year's Eve:
A great alternative to lead casting! A small figure made of wax is melted on a spoon over a candle and then poured into ice-cold water at lightning speed. The mostly very funny figures that are created in this way say something about what to expect next year. Believe it or not, it's up to you - but one thing is for sure, it's a lot of fun and makes waiting for the new year easier.
With momentum into the New Year, thanks to the Danube Waltz
One, two, three - one, two, three! One of the most important traditions here in our country is that the Danube Waltz is danced at 00:00 sharp.
Little lucky charms for the loved ones
Last but not least our probably most beautiful and most widespread New Year's Eve custom: cloverleaves, piggy or chimney sweep. Whether in chocolate form or not, we give our loved ones little lucky charms at the turn of the year to give them happiness and satisfaction all year round.
With this in mind, we wish you good luck, love and health in 2020!
