Hotel Kaiserblick Wilder Kaiser

The hotel was taken over by Vincent Künig in 1984, which was the start of its current development. The first major renovation was carried out in 1987. The house was expanded to include 54 guest rooms, and a sauna, spacious restaurant and pizzeria were added.

In 1990, Greta Künig, the youngest daughter of the Künig family, took over the Kaiserblick and continued the hotel’s development with much dedication.

The family also enjoyed some changes in their private lives in 1998.

With the birth of twins Franziska and Teresa, there was double the reason to celebrate.

The outdoor pool underwent extensive renovations at the turn of the millennium. A new sauna landscape with whirlpool and an indoor lounger area were also added.

In 2002, Greta bought the forester’s lodge opposite with a total of 17 guest rooms. At the same time, an underground connection was built between the Kaiserblick and the forester’s lodge. These measures were also used as an opportunity to renovate all the rooms and expand the restaurant.

In 2003, the birth of their son Tobias only added to the family’s happiness. One year later, Armin took on the running of the hotel as general manager and continued to support his wife Greta with hotel operations.

In 2007, Armin had a lifelong wish come true with the opening of the hotel’s own Vinothek, which remains an important part of the Kaiserblick to this today.

With the family enjoying sustained success, in 2010 they decided to start the biggest renovation works for the hotel yet.

This included the construction of an indoor pool, a new sauna landscape, an expanded restaurant and 27 new guest rooms.

The Waldstube was expanded and redesigned in 2014. Since then, it forms the stylish framework for our six-course evening menu and special moments of indulgence.

In 2016, the new Kaiser Spa created a spacious wellness oasis with various wellness offers and a modern selection of beauty treatments.

2019 was a very special milestone in the history of the Kaiserblick and the Künig family – the opening of the superior 4-star Kaiserblick hotel.

The reception area and hotel lobby were redesigned, play areas were created for both young and older guests, the wellness area was expanded to 1,900 m² and guest and employee rooms were renovated. The offering was expanded to include a seminar room, a car wash facility and the infinity sky pool.

Since then, the Kaiserblick has been open to welcome guests 365 days a year.

During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and 2021, a vast number of guest rooms were renovated extensively.

2022 marked the addition of the new outdoor whirlpool on the south relaxation terrace with a view of the Wilder Kaiser. At the same time, the treatment rooms in the Kaiser Spa were expanded and modernised.

In 2023, our Standard and Classic double rooms were converted into modern studio suites. The stylish design and top-quality furnishings give guests even more living comfort.

The Kaiserblick has been on a constant development trajectory since 1947. And in the future, we will also combine our tried and tested methods with new ideas – always with the aim of giving our guests unforgettable holiday moments on the Wilder Kaiser.
